How to delay FET enabling using a 555/any other method?
Pretty new to electronics, please forgive me for any obvious errors I'm not seeing!
So, I'm designing a circuit (Multisim schematic attached here) to dump a bunch of current across an igniter, R5. Ideally, the igniter will see over 30 A very briefly. Q1 and Q3 are the two "main" FETs, and when both are enabled, then the igniter will be able to be powered. Q3 is a "fast" circuit, in that all you need to do to enable it is output low from the Arduino (Switch 1 takes care of this functionality). Q1 will be "slow," in that when S3, the main switch, is switched on, it will also enable Q1 after a safe delay.
Q3 is the Arduino FET, in that when the Arduino outputs low, Q4 will be disabled so that Q1 can be enabled. When the Arduino outputs high, Q4 will be enabled, pulling the power to ground. That part seems to work fine in simulation, but here's when I run into trouble...
The trouble is with Q1; ideally, I want Q1 to be enabled after a brief delay (ideally two seconds or so), so I've added a 555 timer chip to drive Q1. What's weird (for me) is that when I isolate the timer circuit (also attached in a schematic here), it will output 12 V after a given delay just fine. But when I add it to the main circuit, the simulation runs into errors quickly after starting.
What is it that I'm not seeing, that's making the simulation angry? Would a 555 be recommended to delay the FET in the first place, or should I seek out another option? Thanks everyone!!!

I'll be using this computer for school (electrical engineering) which will involve me running MultiSim, and I've definitely noticed its odd behavior on weaker computers. System requirements here.
Since it will be my main computer, I'll likely also edit photos extensively on it, make visual art, run random audio or video software, and of course, wind up playing some video games on it.
If gaming, what kind of performance are you looking for? (Screen resolution, FPS, game settings)
I'm not sure. I really do get lost in pretty games just exploring so that would be cool, and I enjoy being able to render lots of different moving things on screen without my framerate tanking, but ultimately it can be an afterthought for this build.
What is your budget (ballpark is okay)?

I already have a monitor, and plan on using Windows 7. I mainly just want to make sure I'm allocating money to components that will help me rather than unnecessary flashiness. If my music-making PC craps out, this might have to step in for it, so it would be cool if the cpu could handle that (again, another afterthought).
And should I get rid of the fan controller, or paint it to fit the build? Thanks for any advice!
